Theme: My Environment

Outcome: K2MDM1 Create long and short objects in exploration and play.

Subject:  Math 

Type of assessment: Formative Assessment "Quiz Quiz Trade"

Review vocabulary with having a paper with two sides, one side is the word and the other side is the definition of the word such as (short, long, objects, length, numbers). This can work by asking and answering questions as a peer work.



Why I choose this Assessment? 

It is to help the students to review the concept of he lesson (shorter and longer) to show if the students understand the concept.


Grading Criteria for formative assessment "Quiz Quiz Trade" 


Student’s evaluating with the stars.   


Using stickers “ stars” to evaluate the student’s learning. 8-10 stars mean the students has understood the concept of the lesson, 5-6 stars the students almost understand the concept of the lesson but they still need a bit of help and guiding from the teacher and if the students got 2-4 stars zero of understanding and they need a lot of help and support from the teacher.
Use this technique, Helps the teacher to be aware of the student’s level of understanding.
To be able to know the way of students thinking about the specific concept and what they’ve learned so far.



Type of assessment: Summative Assessment "Project-based learning “ PBL” "

The basic process of doing PBL by starting questions to guide and lends to the students and The type of questions are asked that direct students to encounter the major elements and principles of a discipline. in addition, for this outcome the students will create building, a person with the different heights then they have to measure it by using verity of things such as cubs, hands, shoes etc. 


Questions :

  • Can you tell me whats short and whats long? 
  • can you give me an example of long and short? 
  • how you will know if this object is short or long? 


If the students answered all questions  and:  

Got 5/5 hes master student  
Got 3/5 hes  develop  student 
Got 1/5 hes emerging student 


Why i choose this type of Assessment? 

 its helpful to have a PBL is to let the students to collaborative together and also its integrate various subjects within the curriculum. "One of the major advantages of project work is that it makes school more like real life. It's an in-depth investigation of a real-world topic worthy of children's attention and effort.“( Education researcher Sylvia Chard , 2007) •



Grading Criteria for summative assessment "Thumps up and down"



this strategy really simple and quick and its will let you know immediately how well the students are understanding the concepts by asking the students how well they "get it" by giving a thumbs up or thumbs down sign to not understand the concept of the lesson.(Formative Assessment: Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down, Thumbs All-Around, 2011)
